Summer Experiential Assistantship Program
DEADLINE EXTENDED to Friday, April 6th, 2018, to accommodate for the holiday weekend.
The Waterford Greens are proud to offer experiential assistantships in the summer of 2018. These assistantships are especially tailored for students, from high school through graduate studies, who are interested in getting involved in local government and politics.
These assistantships will give students the opportunity to develop their writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills, while also growing their network and learning more about careers in municipal government, by working closely with elected officials. Assistants may work on tasks centered around researching and writing legislation, developing press communiques, organizing community and learning-centered events, planning and executing self-driven community service projects, and more.
All those interested are welcome to apply, regardless of major or area of study. All assistants are unpaid and candidates who are chosen will be responsible for paying their travel and living expenses. Assistants are welcome and encouraged to contact their academic institution to learn more about receiving credit or compensation for this experiential learning opportunity.
The application deadline has been extended to Friday, April 6th, 2018. Applications are not complete until the form below has been completed and both a resume and cover letter have been submitted to us at [email protected]
